On Thursday 9th September we will explore the education space, as part of our Buildings, Design and Specification programme.

We’ll be looking at ways in which UK construction can deliver the UK’s school building needs, as well as how the design considerations can support the creation of a quality teaching and learning environment.

How is construction going to deliver the UK’s school building needs?

11:00 – 12:00

The government’s bumper School Rebuilding Programme, which is made up of major rebuilding and refurbishment projects at school and sixth form college buildings across England – now includes 100 schools. Add to this an estimated repair bill of £11.4 billion to just bring the schools estate up to scratch, and the added complexities of ensuring that all our buildings meet Net Zero targets, how can the construction industry ensure that we can rebuild the UK’s schools, both on time and on budget?
