On Thursday 7th October, we will exploring refurbishment and retrofit. View the full programme and register below.

What does construction need to deliver the residential retrofit needed for Net Zero?

11:00 – 12:00

The UK Government has made a legal commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 but – in order to achieve this – we need to decarbonise our homes and buildings. But there are still significant barriers to this, not least the need to engage construction firms from across the supply chain in this effort.

Topics to be discussed include:

• What have the barriers to residential retrofit been?

• How a National Retrofit Strategy would engage industry

• What incentives business needs to upskill workers for green jobs

• The types of firms already exploring this work

Speakers:

Brian Berry, Chief Executive, Federation of Master Builders

Emma Link, Industry Analyst, CITB

Russell Smith, Retrofit Works
